For beginners it is mandatory to understand that there are 2 types of drones, one is brushed and the other is brushless. Both of them vary. Brushless last way longer and are more powerful, and can be used seamlessly for bigger quads.
Even though the internal workings of both brushed and brushless are the same- based on electromagnetism, the difference lies in the efficiency. The total power used by the brushless is turned into rotational force, losing in less power as heat. Also, they last longer since there are no brushes to wear out, and makes it cheaper too.
